A Step Forward: Fostering Diversity and Leadership at Enable

Enable recently completed the Mayor of London’s Workforce Integration Design Lab programme!

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗟𝗮𝗯?
It’s an initiative from the Mayor of London, designed to educate companies on Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI). Guided by expert coaches from DK&A and The Black Leadership Group, we developed initiatives aimed at building a more inclusive, diverse, and engaging workplace.

🔎 At Enable, we’ve identified two key challenges:
1️⃣ Empowering our team to feel safe, engaged, and confident in sharing opinions and ideas.
2️⃣ Providing guidance and pathways for our people to confidently pursue leadership roles.

Here’s how we’re tackling these:

𝗘𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗗𝗜:
• 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 – A dedicated team to listen, support, and celebrate diversity while promoting EDI knowledge.
• 𝗘𝗗𝗜 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 – From Fairness, Inclusion & Respect Ambassador training to EDI workshops, we’re educating everyone.
• 𝗘𝗗𝗜 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 – Celebrating diversity with fun and educational events for all!

𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 & 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽:
• 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 – Helping every team member explore career paths, create development plans, and achieve their full potential.
• 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆𝘀 – Monthly sessions with workshops, guest speakers, and inspirational stories to support growth and development.
• 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 – Launching this year, our 6-module programme covers EDI coaching, compassionate leadership, psychological safety, and more.
