Seven years of Planet Mark, a 28.2% carbon cut, and one number we can’t wait to share
Seven years of Planet Mark, a 28.2% carbon cut, and one number we can’t wait to share
25 August 2026
We are proud to share our Planet Mark results for 2025/2026, a year that reflects real progress across both our environmental performance and the positive difference we make in our communities.
This year, Enable achieved Planet Mark certification for the seventh consecutive year and reduced our total carbon emissions by 28.2% compared to the previous year. Our Scope 1 and 2 emissions fell by 16.7%, driven by the use of HVO fuel across our sites and a switch to 100% renewable electricity across our facilities. We also went further than most, expanding our Scope 3 reporting to include upstream and downstream leased assets, and reducing our normalised Scope 3 emissions by 37.2%. Every figure is independently verified and aligned to the GHG Protocol, with a data quality score of 94.2%.
More than carbon
Impressive as those numbers are, they aren’t the figure we’re proudest of this year. Because while carbon reduction sits at the heart of our sustainability journey, our impact goes well beyond it.
Over the same period, Enable delivered £22.7 million of independently verified social value. That impact was created through responsible procurement, skills development, community engagement, wellbeing initiatives and environmental improvement, and it reflects our commitment to leaving a lasting legacy in the places where we work.
For an SME, measuring our footprint and our wider impact in this level of detail is a deliberate choice. It gives us an honest and transparent understanding of the difference we make, and it holds us accountable to keep improving year on year.
A shared achievement
Results like these are only possible because of the people behind them. Our thanks go to our colleagues, clients and supply chain partners, whose commitment turns ambition into measurable progress.
As we look ahead, this year reinforces what matters most to us: reducing our environmental impact, creating lasting value for our communities, and being open about the progress we still have to make.
